ViTaL

ViTaL Partnerships Ltd (ViTaL) is a charitable social enterprise working with the Graduate School of Education at the University of Bristol. ViTaL’s purpose is to enhance lifelong learning and facilitate change in individuals, organisations and communities.

Formed in 2004 by Dr Ruth Deakin Crick and her associates, ViTaL is responsible for the ELLI programme, providing workshops and consultancy for leaders and staff in education and the work place. Over 100 organisations have benefited from ViTaL’s expert facilitation and training across the UK and as far afield as Australia, Bahrain, Malaysia and the USA.

Through exhaustive investigation and consultation, the Effective Lifelong Learning Inventory (ELLI) research team generated a huge amount of data on the psychological and environmental factors which impact on learning, to identify Seven Dimensions of Learning Power:

• Changing and Learning

• Critical Curiosity

• Meaning Making

• Creativity

• Resilience

• Strategic Awareness

• Learning Relationships

ELLI is a research validated, peer reviewed learning evaluation tool which reveals a person’s learning power on these seven dimensions.

For nearly a decade, ELLI has changed the way people think, feel and behave in schools, colleges, universities and the workplace. As a theory of learning, an instrument for self-assessment and a set of learning, teaching and coaching strategies, ELLI enhances life through more effective learning for individuals, organisations and communities.
