Senior Leadership Impact Initiative

Impact-focused, values-led and evidence-informed leadership development, for aspiring and existing senior leaders

Developed and facilitated by the Whole Education Network, this national programme aims to develop a generation of senior leaders who are committed to translating the vision and values of a whole education into provision for all. The programme takes an evidence-informed and impact-focussed approach to change, personalised to suit your school context and priorities.
+ What are the key opportunities?
+ four face to face training days over the course of the year
+ visit from two inspirational schools and explore their approach to leadership and change
+ carry out an in-depth 'Impact Study' at a team  in line with school priorities and be coached in the process
+ learn about strategies to leadership which balance immediate needs with longer term aspirations
+ access to a national network of innovative schools and leaders
+ form lasting links with like-minded colleagues
+ engage with the latest national and international educational research and policy development
Day 1 - Values-Led Leadership
+ Whole education values and rationale
+ 5 I's model: Improvement; Inspiring: Influencing: Innovation and Impact
+ Vision into provision
+ Choosing your Impact Study
+ Being data informed and using baselines
+ Using evidence and research

Day 2 and 3 - Evidence and Practice Informed Leadership

Days 2 and 3 are based in innovative schools, providing a distinctive and powerful opportunity to learn from and reflect with the SLT.
+ Strategic Leadership for successful learning
+ Reflection and discussion with SLT on translating vision into provision
+ Effective collaboration
+ Sustainable change over time
+ Leadership beyond education - visit and discussion with leaders from other sectors

The Facilitator
The programme is facilitated by David Crossley, Executive Director of The Whole Education Network. David is a nationally recognised leader in school transformation, partnership and change. His proven, yet innovative ideas derive from his own Headships and his engagement with many other outstanding school leaders and his leadership of the  Raising Acheivement  and Transforming Learning (RATL), Leading Edge and other programmes. He is passionate about curriculum development and committed to ‘school-led system leadership’ and the ‘by schools for schools’ approach.
