Campaign for Learning
The Campaign for Learning is a national charity dedicated to promoting social inclusion and cohesion through learning, working across all age-groups and contexts. The Campaign undertakes innovative research and delivery projects and acts as a catalyst and facilitator to affect policy, improve practice and engage learners.
Learning to Learn
The Learning to Learn in Schools and Further Education project explores differing approaches to supporting young people to become confident, effective and motivated lifelong learners. Since 2000, the project has worked with over 70 pioneering schools and FE establishments, which are trying out new approaches to classroom management, teaching and learning, assessment and working with parents. The project’s impact includes young people being aware of and having an understanding of the learning process and how to improve it, as well as improved SATs results, behaviour, motivation and teacher morale.
Family Learning
The Campaign’s family learning initiatives recognise the vital role that families play in forming positive attitudes and developing skills and capabilites for learning. Projects include Best coach, which works with fathers through workplaces and schools to develop skills that support their children. The Big Impact project aims to improve the quality of support for family learning practitioners and is delivered as part of the Family Learning Network, which the Campaign co-ordinates in alliance with Continyou and NIACE.
The Campaign for Learning was established by the Royal Society of Arts in 1996 and became an independent charity in 1997. It is dedicated to promoting social inclusion & cohesion through learning, working across all age-groups and contexts. Its main activities are campaigning and awareness-raising, supporting & developing practitioners, undertaking innovative research & delivery projects and influencing policy development. It acts as a catalyst and facilitator to affect policy, improve practice and engage learners
Other Campaign for Learning work includes the National Workplace Learning Network and Learning at Work Day.
