Taking place: Alternating Wednesdays, 11am
During this challenging time, it is more important than ever to be part of a network; to have the space to talk to colleagues, hear what they are doing and share ideas.
Our WE Primary peer support network virtual meetings are designed to support you during this challenging time. They are an opportunity to learn with and from colleagues across the country during this fast-moving situation. They are based around schools sharing what they are doing that others might benefit from, and what they’re challenged by and would like others to feedback on.
Lockdown Lessons: findings and recommendations from ImpactEd’s national research
“The educational non-profit ImpactEd has recently published Lockdown Lessons, a national report looking into the impact of the pandemic on pupil wellbeing and learning, and would love to share details of this research with WE teachers and school leaders. Built on the experiences of more than 62,000 pupils in England who have been surveyed, monitored and interviewed over an eight-month period, Lockdown Lessons is the largest pupil-facing research project into the impact of the pandemic in the UK. It has been supplemented by a number of case studies detailing how schools have used this data to design and deliver approaches to support pupil learning and wellbeing during a period of unprecedented educational disruption.”
Joe McGinn from ImpactEd will share a selection of some of the key findings from the research, as well as accompanying recommendations for teachers and school leaders to consider as pupils begin to return to the classroom again.
