In 1992, Nina Jackson began her vast career as an exciting new teacher in Hampshire. In her PGCE year, she was spotted as one of the new generation of innovative teachers and was appointed as a head of the music department in a challenging school while still an NQT. She was a lead contributor in a BBC documentary called Kids Behaving Badly where her skills for engaging and inspiring disaffected learners were hailed as “pure magic”. She is also a major contributor of ‘The Big Book of Independent Thinking’, ‘Don’t Change the Lightbulbs’, and her new book ‘Of Teaching, Learning & Sherbet Lemons – a compendium of careful advice for teachers‘ is out soon.
Hannah will host the fortnightly sessions which will alternate between being a webinar with an external input to provoke thinking and a forum with an internal input to provoke discussion.
- We will meet on a fortnightly basis to explore how you are developing your MHWB strategy for your school.
- Webinars will have external input: leaders from the sector who will provoke reflection and discussion.
- Forums will have internal input: leaders from Whole Education schools who will share their best practice and how they are implementing their MHWB strategy.
