Where curriculum design meets effective delivery
An opportunity for senior leaders from both primary and secondary phases, to explore the link between what students should learn and how we can optimise learning in the classroom.
This summit has been designed to support leaders’ thinking around the whole curriculum and how this vision can be realised.
We will focus on how senior leaders are implementing their curriculum design ideas and also hear from schools in the region who are utilising a new research based teaching and learning model to optimise learning in the classroom.
There will be an opportunity to learn about Whole Education’s exciting Lab Classrooms initiative and how this is encouraging action based research in schools with significant impact on teacher practice.
With the advent of a new Ofsted framework, there is a space for schools to seize the agenda and rethink not only WHAT students should learn but also HOW they should learn.
What can I expect?
Participants will have access to leading thinkers in curriculum design, from overarching vision to provision. They will also hear from Trust leaders with both primary and secondary phases successfully delivering a whole education in their northern and national schools.
There will be times throughout the day to apply this thinking and learning to your own curriculum and teaching and learning. Connecting and sharing with fellow leaders from the from the North East.Rethinking Curriculum and Teaching & Learning (2)
