Helen Prince – A Vocabulary Treasure Trove: sharing practical ideas to address the word gap, drawn from recent research and the findings of the latest Oxford Language Reports
We’re delighted to welcome Helen Prince to input at our first Words for All expert webinar. An English teacher, senior leader and advisor, Helen has led English, literacy and drama provision for over 20 years.
In her advisory roles, she has worked intensively across a diverse range of academy trusts – including the UK’s largest. Her work benefits from time spent as an Ofsted Inspector, acting head in an all-through SEMH setting, English examiner, author, trainer and speaker.
To date, Helen has worked with over three hundred school leadership teams across the UK to improve focus on vocabulary, literacy, and English.
Helen has provided training and webinars for many large MAT’s, literacy conferences,
Oxford University Press and ASCL. Her three vocabulary books, ‘Get It Right: Boost Your
Vocabulary’ will be published in Spring 2021. Fuelled by her passion to address the word
gap, Helen has also recently designed an app to boost vocabulary acquisition: ‘ChatterStars’.
