Taking place: Alternating Wednesdays, 11am
During this challenging time, it is more important than ever to be part of a network; to have the space to talk to colleagues, hear what they are doing and share ideas.
Our WE Primary peer support network virtual meetings are designed to support you during this challenging time. They are an opportunity to learn with and from colleagues across the country during this fast-moving situation. They are based around schools sharing what they are doing that others might benefit from, and what they’re challenged by and would like others to feedback on.
Lantern Primary School
“The Powerful Words Project originally aimed to close the vocabulary gap for our disadvantaged pupils. We focused on the explicit teaching of tier 2 vocabulary, ring-fenced reading aloud to our classes, have started to establish a book rich curriculum and are developing oracy following strategies from voice 21. The project has benefited all of our pupils enormously across all aspects of the whole school curriculum.”
WE Network Support for you
After the success of our WE Primary network supporting meetings last year, WE are continuing to host Zoom calls fortnightly, at 11am on Wednesdays for you to connect with colleagues, share ideas, and hear what others are doing to respond to common challenges.
Each week’s meeting will include an input and then opportunity for discussions/questions and a general catch up
To help schools collaborate and share ideas during this extraordinary time, all these virtual meetings available to all primary schools.
