Thinking Forward: Solution sharing for summer 2021 and beyond
An opportunity for network schools to share their curriculum ideas and plans for summer 2021 and beyond.
WE will host Zoom calls fortnightly at 2pm on Thursdays for you to connect with colleagues, share ideas and hear solutions. The structure will be 20 minutes of input from the host school/s followed by a 40-minute discussion providing colleagues with an opportunity to network.
Over the half term, we are delighted an opportunity has come up for us to hear from Mark Pritchard, Executive Principal from Upton Court Grammar, which is part of the Pioneer Education Trust.
Mark will share a project he is leading across Slough to help schools to deliver disciplinary literacy – how to read, write and talk in a subject-specific way. WE know this will be a priority in most schools over the coming months.
Following this presentation, as planned, we will have the opportunity to share and discuss your interests and plans for the option years 8-9.
In our first Thinking Forward session, we hosted ImpactEd who presented the findings of their latest report on the impact of Covid-19 within education. We discussed how we can use the learnings from this time to inform our future planning. ImpactEd’s research specifically highlights an impact on social and learning skills, particularly for the later year groups. During this session, we’ll be focusing on Years 8 and 9.
Join us to share ideas on Thursday 25th February – register here.
