Taking place: Alternating Wednesdays, 11am
During this challenging time, it is more important than ever to be part of a network; to have the space to talk to colleagues, hear what they are doing and share ideas.
Our WE Primary peer support network virtual meetings are designed to support you during this challenging time. They are an opportunity to learn with and from colleagues across the country during this fast-moving situation. They are based around schools sharing what they are doing that others might benefit from, and what they’re challenged by and would like others to feedback on.
‘University challenge’ to build confidence and outcomes at Robin Hood Academy
Hosted by Steve Taylor, Executive Headteacher, Robin Hood Academy:
University Challenge: “We believe that every child should have high expectations. Since 2017, we have delivered Friday University Challenge sessions. These are for our Key Stage 2 pupils. Children have to choose a 6 week course which is affiliated to a university.
At the end of the course they graduate and receive a Fledgling Degree. We value this and know that it has tremendous impact on the confidence, ability and outcomes of the children in our school.
They can articulate what a university is and acknowledge that one day this can be an option for them.”
“Friday’s are the best day of the week with University Challenge, non school uniform and pizza.” Zainab Year 3
