Leading a Whole Education at Trusts (LAWET) has been designed for, and in collaboration with, trust leaders in the WE network. We know how vital it is to have a peer group of support through which to share ideas and build solutions to common problems, and LAWET aims to provide exactly that.
The LAWET programme is one of the three components which make up WE trust membership, all of which have been designed to help trust leaders:
- Develop great relationships
- Celebrate their practice
- Realise their future ambitions
- Grapple with current challenges
- Effectively collaborate
- Be inspired
- Be heard

Leading a Whole Education at Trusts (LAWET)
LAWET has been intentionally designed with trust leaders to focus on the themes they are grappling with.
Through the WE diagnostic process, we’ll work with you on your trust-wide whole education strategy. This includes your approaches and practice, your vision, mission values and brand, and curriculum development.
Alongside other like-minded peers, we’ll also support you in business and financial planning, and personnel development and talent spotting to help you build sustainable and impactful growth within your trust.
LAWET also provides ample opportunities for collaboration, inspiration and sharing best practice. You’ll get access to expert input from inspiration global experts, a place on the Apple International Leadership Programme, and regular Trust Influence Forums for you to come together with other leaders and debate the big issues in education.
WE Peer appreciative enquiry
WE peer appreciative enquiry uses an effective evaluation framework and deep diagnostic that is facilitated by WE coaches. As part of a triad of WE aligned trusts, you will work together to:
- Assess the impact of your influence as a trust.
- Evaluate your impact on the whole education of all young people within your trust.
- Inspire the vision and mission of your trust.
- Strategically plan and prioritise the next steps in your whole education journey.
WE Innovation and change leadership
WE Innovation and change leadership is a programme for trusts who wish to develop a longer term vision and strategy informed by diagnostic, change models and innovative practice from across the globe.
You’ll hear from experts in change leadership from the education sector and elsewhere, as well as high-level futures thinking from educationalists such as Valerie Hannon, OECD and OPPI.
You’ll also develop diagnostic frameworks to co-construct and adapt proven change models that will work within your context.
We’re delighted that this programme is informed by pupil, parent and professional voices such as Big Change, Brookings Institute and ImpactED.
