WE hope you managed to find some time off over the summer after such a challenging year – never has it been more needed or deserved.
WE know there are more challenges ahead for the education system but that together, displaying all the commitment, bravery and ingenuity that has marked education out over the course of the crisis, we will find a way through for our children and young people.
Our schools might look a little different at the moment but the values at their heart are unchanged. In fact, throughout this crisis, these values have been more visible than ever.
Supporting you through the challenges ahead
Whole Education exists to connect, empower and inspire teachers and leaders through the challenges they face.
WE believe this mission is vital as schools return – so WE will be running our core offer to support you, primaries, secondaries, trusts and localities, with your priorities as planned.
As you may expect, for now the majority of our events and programmes are running virtually – however this will be monitored each month and government guidelines will be followed.
We expect to gradually bring back face-to-face events (initially for smaller meetings) in the Autumn.
Collaborating through the crisis
While we know everyone in education is incredibly busy at the moment, and nothing matters more than welcoming back young people so you can do what you do best – providing great teaching that inspires a love of learning.
We hope that, when it is appropriate, you will recommit to the Whole Education principles of sharing and learning from peers and engage fully with our programmes and events.
The Covid-19 crisis created increased isolation for us all. This was reflected in the WE community, however our members have told us how valuable they found the collaboration opportunities WE created. Carving out the opportunities to continue to collaborate – on short and long-term practical and strategic considerations – continues to be vital for us to emerge stronger from this extraordinary period.
We can’t wait to see you again and look forward to supporting your school’s priorities this year.
