Interest Areas

Whole Education provides personalised support to leaders within our network, working with them on the issues that they are facing and looking forwards towards their future ambitions.

As part of our Primary and Secondary Networks, we ask schools to select which interest areas they would like to explore through their membership. From this selection, we curate a series of events and opportunities tied to these interests, including WE Inspire sessions, learning group virtual sessions, school visits and conference sessions.

Interest areas include:

  • For schools interested in designing and implementing a relevant and engaging curriculum that empowers students to take increasing responsibility for their own learning so that they are actively engaged and master learning.

  • For schools interested in exploring approaches to formative and summative assessment of the knowledge, qualities and skills learners need to thrive in life, learning and work.

  • For schools interested in evidence-based teaching and learning strategies that will improve academic outcomes while also allowing students to develop wider qualities and skills.

  • For schools interested in exploring how simple and effective school-based processes can improve outcomes for learners with SEND.

  • For schools interested in exploring how simple, targeted strategies can help to improve reading and academic outcomes.

  • For schools interested in exploring how positive behaviour systems and restorative practices can build the strong relational communities that underpin harmonious learning environments.

  • For schools interested in understanding the fundamental role high quality professional learning can play in ensuring high levels of staff engagement and improving outcomes for all students.

  • For schools interested in promoting the representation and participation of different groups of individuals to create a positive school culture.

  • For schools interested in creating a culture of continuous learning, growth and development to bring together environmental education and community engagement.
