Headspace

Headspace provides personal and professional nourishment to headteachers within our Primary and Secondary Network.

The Autumn term event will be held on Thursday 23rd November at St Luke’s Community Centre, 90 Central Street, London EC1V 8AJ.

Our central theme for this event is 'Presence.' We've curated a lineup of three distinguished speakers who will delve into this concept from a different perspective. Each speaker will be followed by interactive workshops, providing you with the opportunity to engage, discuss, and reflect on how these insights can shape your professional journey.

Speakers include:

  • JADE BARNETT: Jade will use the story of her experience of school to help us explore the issues surrounding inclusion and exclusion. She will ask us to consider the sometimes small things that schools and their staff can do to change the trajectory for young people who find themselves in challenging circumstances or feeling like they don’t belong.

  • DR JO GRANT: Dr Jo Grant is the founder of Believe in Potential which was  set up in 2018 with the aim of offering holistic, child-focused  services that are easily accessible to families, schools and communities, together with social care. Dr Jo has 20 years experience as an educational professional working with Local Authorities and as a Chartered and Educational Psychologist.

  • LORD JIM KNIGHT: Lord Knight will be joining us for the afternoon session and will bring us inside the vital work he is leading as Chair of the Beyond Ofsted Review and as a member of the draft online safety bill joint committee.

This Headspace event is included as part of your Whole Education membership, providing the opportunity to come together, connect and collaborate with other headteachers.

If you are a headteacher from a Whole Education Primary and Secondary school, you can register for the event here. If you have any questions, please email events@wholeeducation.org.
